“Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. ‘Don’t be afraid!’ he said. ‘I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people’” (Luke 2:9, 10).
When Mary found out she was going to have a baby, the angel told her not to be afraid. When Joseph, Mary’s husband-to-be, found out Mary was going to have a special baby from God, the angel told him not to be afraid. When the shepherds in the fields saw the angels proclaiming the birth of Jesus, the angels told them not to be afraid.
